What do you need to work in Nursing?

Nursing is a highly sought after role and always in need. We have temporary and permanent positions available throughout Australia and New Zealand, both rural and city-based. Short and long-term placements are available both in the public and private sectors.
What qualifications do I need to work in Australia or New Zealand?
– To be eligible as an enrolled nurse, you must complete a Nursing Council-approved Diploma in Enrolled Nursing programme
– To be eligible as a registered nurse, you must complete a Nursing Council-approved Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Health Science programme
– To be eligibe as a Nurse Practioner, you must have:
- registration with the bothe the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) for Australia or the Nursing Council of New Zealand in the registered nurse scope of practice in New Zealand.
- a minimum of four years of experience in a specific area of practice
- successfully completed a clinically focused master’s degree programme approved by the NMBA or the Nursing Council of New Zealand, or equivalent qualification
- passed a Nursing Council assessment of nurse practitioner competencies and criteria.
Nurse practitioners seeking registration with prescribing rights are required to have an additional qualification and to have successfully completed an approved prescribing component of the clinically-focused master’s programme relevant to their specific area of practice.
What do I need to work in Australia or New Zealand?
To work in Australia you must be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and in New Zealand with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
